About
Mott graduated from the University of the Arts in 2014 with a degree in Crafts/Woodworking. He moved from the high end cabinet-making field in Philadelphia to the less refined contractor work of Monhegan, a small but vibrant island 12 miles off the coast of Maine. His work reflects the rustic nature of Monhegan’s architecture and rugged landscape, balanced with a firm attention to detail and precision. He has gathered inspiration from many Monhegan Artists, from Rockwell Kent to Lynn Drexler over the years and is eager to continue the tradition of innovative creative thinking on Monhegan.
